(HD) Dell 2408wfp vs Samsung SM2493HM ascribe lag/colour tests
—–NOW IN HD—- DELL ON THE LEFT. SAMSUNG ON THE RIGHT I initially thought that the dell was the dogs, in some respects i was right. however the input lag is definatly noticable. it feels like the mouse is going through tar on the OS. games were awful… The dells colour and sharpness is fantastic and beats the samsung hands down. but i cannot have this input lag, it is terrible and started to get to me just using windows within a day. This video shows a bond trailer and me moving a window between to show the actual difference. if you watch closely you can see in the trailer the green goes off on the samsung before the dell. pause the video at any point and oh, WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY any questions, leave a comment i will respond.

I am a very critical monitor user.
I have all kinds of monitor adjusting and testing software. I need to see the correct color rendition and temperature for scientific purposes.
I take digital pictures, and the screen MUST look like what my camera sees. I use this monitor for highly critical picture editing.
There are no stuck pixels, no problems whatsoever. The picture quality on this monitor is amazing, stunning.
And it is fast rendering, quite good for gaming.
The view angle is wide. If you are within 120 degrees of center, it is fine, and that is exceptional.
In over 8 years of searching for the best monitors, this is the best I have had yet. Or seen, for that matter.
When these monitors are in the stores they sell out fast to knowledgeable buyers.

This is the 2nd Monitor by Samsung i have owned….previously had 203b model…THE BACKLIGHTING WENT OUT IN THAT MODEL, so i got this one!!! wish it went up to 1080p Resolution….instead it is only 1600×1200…but it looks great on all my new games with my 2x BFG 9800GT OCX SLi Setup!!! Got this off a floor display from a local PC store in town!!! Owned it for over 3yrs now and never turned it off, cept for when it goes in to “sleep” mode from puter!!!! Own MANY Samsung products…this one is good, wish i would’ve waited n got a newer style with 1080p resolution, ohh well!!

I’m on my second Samsung SyncMaster 204B and experiencing the same problems as the first. Whenever you put your computer into sleep mode or switch off the monitor, a problem develops: When you switch it back on, the picture becomes gradually dimmer with a noticeable flicker over time. My first one eventually died altogether within warranty, and Samsung sent me a replacement. It’s been maybe six months and the same thing is happening. I’m not going to bother with another replacement, or with Samsung monitors again for that matter.

The Samsung SyncMaster 204b is alright for any normal computer. If you use 1280×1024 resolution however, you will be really pissed off. Don;t buy if your looking for a gaming monitor. Bad for graphic designers too. Good for use in normal family computer needs despite it’s 1600×1200x32 problem.

Nvidia gtx 260 and Samsung Syncmaster T220 – bug with Gimp selection
Nvidia geforce GTX 260 + Samsung syncmaster T220 The selecting tool zone animation makes the screen tilts until there’s some 3D acceleration function. Strange and weird bug found and I have NO IDEA how to fix this crap. Maybe running some 3D stupid widget for Vista while I’m working … I HATE THIS SHIT ! Infos : Same on HDMI / VGA ports Can’t change refresh rate with this screen ( 60 hz ) Yes, my camera sucks.
